Portland to Portland I rode from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine, covering 3427 miles in 35.5 days of riding. I only took 1.5 days off in Minnesota to recover where I met my wife for the weekend. My average was 97 miles per day. Experienced cyclist friends and exercise professionals told me it could not be done as I had not put in the necessary training to complete such an arduous feat. They were trying to convince me that I would have to schedule more recovery days in order to complete my goal. I was on a timeline and had to be back at work at my college in early August. Basically, I was on a mission to complete this journey. I had never ridden two 100 mile days back to back and my goal was to do 34? Pulling a 1 wheel trailer loaded with a tent, sleeping bag, gear and ProSport, which all combined weighed approximately 60 pounds. Trust me, I had my doubts too, as I had not completed a training ride of more than 50 miles prior to embarking on this journey July 3rd, 2006. That combined with the record heat I encountered along the way made it extremely challenging. It was 103 degrees in the Columbia Gorge the first 2 days and I encountered record heat in Montana, N. Dakota, Ontario Canada, etc. I don't think that it would have been possible without the proper nutrition supplementation that I was provided by the ProSport system. I was consuming at least 3 ProSport drinks per day and at least 2 drinks included the Active Whey pure protein. It was worth it to carry that extra weight on my trailer as I truly believe that your product was the difference in my achieving this lifetime goal. Thank you, Advantig! Marty Welter
